Ignore the trolls!

So first off, I'd like to tell jobskid to go fuck a goat, and that he should be ignored.

Second off, I found this to be a rather different look at one of DJ Splash's more noticeable works. I would of like a more powerful lead synth and maybe a nice break in the beat somewhere in the middle.

Keep up the good work.

Hello Thar :D

Hi again!

I enjoyed the play with the original melody. What caught my attention was the power of the bass, in that its causing some distortion. Its not taking a whole bunch away from the song, nay this is still iPod worthy. But in the future remember that harder bass is always better, except when it over shrouds the song.

9/10 5/5

Keep awn it homie-g-dawg-slizzle (LOLOL :P)

lol thanks....you know....ive been using that kick for a few songs...but the funny thing is i found that bass like a week ago in vangaurd o.o...so i wasnt very prepared for it to distort anything really....but thx for the review :P

peace easy

You're slowly...

Becoming my favorite AP artist, dude.

I normally try to give some constructive criticism whenever I review, because I wish people to do so on mine, but I find it hard to do so with your submissions.

Please don't take it negatively. The only reason this song isn't really a 10, is because it feels like there is more that could've been done with it.

Aside from my incoherent rantings, keep up the great work.

AMP responds:

You're right this song was pretty plain, nothing special, glad you enjoyed it for what it is tho :D

Beautiful Lyrics.

And enjoyable melody. You sound like you would have a nice voice without the Autotune. I downloaded your "In My Head" mix. I must say, you are very talented, but I must ask if you have any professional training.

AMP responds:

Wow, thanks so much!

But, no, I've never had any professional training for music or singing or anything.

Trancy, but nice.

This is closer to Happy Hardcore, or Hardtrance than Hardstyle, as the melodies were... Upbeat, and the focus, where as with any Hardstyle song, the Beat is the focus. The harder, the better, with the melodies being more of a backdrop than in traditional techno music..

Love to hear more, best of luck

Krussi responds:

Thanks alot :P Yeah, I know that it's not really hardstyle xD
I named the flps (project files) to Happy Hardstyle and so on :P

I considering skipping the hardstyle parts, and turn them into something else instead.

Anyhow, thanks alot for the review, the pointers and the 8 ^^

Cheers

Lovely, however, there are some thorns on the rose

I liked the melody. Its quite uplifting. And its something I can see in hardstyle, and hardstyle is my weakpoint, this song made me shuffle.

However, it is rather repetetive. I think it may have done better with a second melody or reduced in length to a loop.

Still, enjoyable. Keep up work like this and I forsee another top pick. :D

:) Thanks ya sir

If you would be so kind...

I was wondering if you would tell a fellow DJ the name of the first synth you used. Cause I'm too lazy to scour the vast interwebz looking for it or one suitable to replace it.

The audio portal

Its only for original audio. You did NOT make this, and thus it doesn't belong here. The extended mix of this song can be found in a link in the info bar of the Youtube video.

FLYINGTANKZ responds:

dude vote what u want idc but im just trying to be helpful i never said i made this u asshole i said i hate looking for this so deal with it if trying to be helpful was wrong id have the life sentence so FUCK YOU some people have a hard time looking for this so im posting it somewhere they can find it

Negativity

The lyrics were far too negative. "N***ah" does not need to be every other lyric, even when using it as a term of endearment.

I know the song is referred to as "Mean Music" and so it isn't intended to be positive, and thats why I gave you a 6. I said to myself "He wasn't lying." But at some point it got to a place where I had to stop the song because it got too mainstream hip hop for me. You must know what I mean. "Yo, yo. Blat-blat mothah-fuckah I'm in this house mothah-fuckah, blat-blat fuck that hoe! Slimmy jimmy, I see you. Fuck that wankster, you could nevah be as real as me."

I challenge you to write a clean Hip Hop song with positive or humorous lyrics. Because not all hip hop has to be mean hip hop.

You're amazing.

I love your submissions. How you manage to get into the weekly picks multiple times in one month is beyond me. Still, keep up the good work.
