Hmm~

"Come on," Remains your best track in my opinion.

Liked how you used the same vocal Pack from "Activated" By Code Black & Wasted Penguins. Still very strong in your main melody. I think your Tok could have had a little bit more punch, and less bass, here. Kinda odd.

Your intro could have used more bass.

Overall, still awesome. You're like milk that never goes bad. I prey you never run out!

DJT3chnic responds:

Funny story about the vocal pack. I literally had it on my pc for almost 2 months now, and about a 2 weeks ago i stared working on this song.. Not 6 days later I look through the new releases, and I see "Activated". I was actually very upset when I heard the vocals I'd been using but, still a great song.

I agree tho the kick isn't very good. Thanks for the review

You keep character well...

Your sound is unique. And it is a very good unique.

If you're looking for a Hands-up Hardstyle song, "Lose the Style" by Frontliner is a perfect example. Listen to the whole thing. It sounds like DJ Splash had gotten into a noisecontrollers kickpack

I love your kicks dude. They have their own minimalist sound, which I like. Have you sent "Come On" to Hard with style yet? ;D

Keep it up

DJT3chnic responds:

I like frontliners track there, but i prefer "Noisecontrollers - So High". It's still maintains a more hardstyle sound, yet kinda feels like hands up. =) Both do heh. But thanks man, I'm defiantly gonna go back and change some sounds, and attempt to take it to the next level. Just need to find the time, and inspiration. =)\

oh, and i haven't yet.

I feel like a noob now... :C

This is pro... I want to know what add-ons you used for the synth and where you get your vocal samples.

I think you should try and send this in to Hard with Style or something. Who knows, you might get noticed.

You are ready, young padawan. XD

DJT3chnic responds:

bahah, thanks man. =) I think I'll give it a shot after i fix the mixdown. Just waiting on my speakers to get back.

I've openly stated that...

I don't Like Dubstep. Because I don't. A lot of Dubstep artists refuse to even rationalize the concept of EQing their bass. It makes bass wobbles give me a headache.

I gave this a seven because this song is very catchy and you actually managed not to give me a headache. Good job.

P.S. Sorry if I sound like a dick. I come off like that a lot. Take this post as a compliment. Its one of two dubstep songs I enjoy.

Acid-Paradox responds:

Don't worry man, everyone has their own point of view and i must respect it.

Thanks for the review

The intro~

I didn't enjoy the screechy intro as much, but thats cause I'm not a huge fan of all screech intros. That being said, it sounds very professional. The toks could use more of "Dat ass" if you get what I mean. It needs something to make it pop! XD

The main melo was beautiful. Loved the play you did with the tok, but they need a longer envelope (The longer you hold the note, the longer they play/fade) All of my own toks have an envelope that plays until the next tok and if not, something that makes it feel full.

Other than that, this is amazing and you should feel very proud of this track. Its mastered and EQ'd beautifully and you've made The DeeDeeJay very jelly.

DJT3chnic responds:

O.o =)! Thanks much man. I will hopefully work on it some more soon. I've heard it so many times now that i can't tell if it's good or bad, so I'm really glad you're giving me feedback. I'll try to work on the tok it's just so ugh, lol. It's a pain... Thanks again man, I really appreciate you taking the time to write me a review!!! =)

Very nice and hard

My only true qualm with this is the monologue kinda dragging its heels at the end. You could have skipped a good chunk of the banter and gotten just as much of the bang for your buck. Then again, I dunno much about vocals yet.

I liked your hardsounds at the start. I've been trying to play with the overdrive to make those, cause I dunno how. :c (0:22-0:26)

I love your submissions. They give me a reason to keep pushing. I wanna be just as good, if not better! LOL, please take that as a compliment.

DJT3chnic responds:

Thank you for the review! =) Always appreciate someone taking time out of there day to give me a hand! But yea, I felt like the vocals were dragging on a little bit, gonna go back and think of something.
Thanks =), and compliment taken. hah, I know i'm not that good yet. I'm getting there slowly but... Like i told you, it's all a matter of practice and making more music. I love doing it, and I will never stop. =) Concerning the hard sounds / Kicks, I can give you a good website you can go to to learn how to do it. It's not an easy task, It's a pain in the a**. lol Either way, thanks man. appreciate it.

Hello again :D

Very nice layers, but it feels sudden off the start. Try introducing it slowly, with some delay and reverb. Also, the high end of your Parametric spectrum is a touch overtuned at 0:38. I listened to this on my lappy's speakers and still caught the buzz.

Very interesting sound, and I'm very intrigued. When you're ready, try editing out your own kicks. Its challenging, but the control you earn is worth it. From here, you can start making undermelodies with your bass.

Food for thought, bro <3

MisterJayElectro responds:

Thanks man! I gotta check out some editing; I'm still a little afraid to mess with the instruments. I gotta toughen up and do it though, I suppose, if I really want to sound as good as you.

I've slowly been working on my own kicks, but I continue to get the same sound. But I will NOT give up. I really wanna start making some good reverse bass sounds, too.

Thanks for the help, always very appreciated!!

You did good bro~

My only qualm is in the anthemy part you threw in, the melo seemed a touch flat. It was like having one voice singing and trying to immitate a choir and cover all the ranges. It was a powerful voice, but it would have been nice to feel the fullness.

I love the work you did on this song, man. It makes me groove. It made my eyes close as I imagined the colours swirl and paint an image in my mind.

The punchiness was good, the bass was thick, if only slightly overtuned, no one is perfect.

Keep up the great work bro. Keep pushing. Keep going. You've got the hardstyle within'. Let it out! <3

Dj-Zexus responds:

Thanks, bro.
I always love your reviews.
(:

I love and hate you...

I love your product. I really do. It is very strong on its own, if a little iffy at certain points on your EQ (I noticed some distortion on a kick in the back. (Its just "Some" and thats just cause there was so many sounds competing to be in front)) All of your songs are very listenable and enjoyable.

I hate them for the same reason because I'm super jealous of the fact that you can just attempt something and hit the bloody nail on the head nine times out of ten. Grrr!

Keep going, waiting for more love/hate out of you. <3

DJT3chnic responds:

O.o. Lmfao. Thanks for the feedback. =)

As T3chnic Said...

Your kicks are good and hard, but some distortion (Through use of Camel Phat or Tridirt, or something along those lines) would add to their overall effictiveness. And, as T3chnic also said, your synths could be a good deal more powerful. Try adding another layer to them, and perhaps EQing them on separate channels.

I think the only other problem I have of my own is the overall smoothness of the song. The individual parts stand out very well individually but not as a whole. It feels like two or three projects kinda hammered together.

Overall, great composition, transitions aside. (Then again, I might just being too picky. I focus on transitions a lot in my own work. Song progression can make a bad song into a good one.)

Keep it up bro~

Dj-Zexus responds:

Hey, thanks.
Great criticism.
I'll keep all of this in mind for my next track.
(:
